MRI Scan

I have to have an MRI scan. 

This is a special machine that takes pictures of what’s inside me.

I will try to change out of my clothes and put on a special hospital gown.

I can ask for help if I need it.

I will try to lie down on the bed.

I might get medicine put in my hand or arm with a needle, to help the doctors take better pictures.

The bed will move into the machine. This is okay.

I will see some lights inside the machine. I can close my eyes if I don't like the lights.

It can be loud so I can wear earplugs to help the noise.

I will try to lie still and relax so the doctor can get good pictures.

The bed will move out when it is finished taking pictures.

This is okay.

If I got some medicine in my hand or arm, they will take it out now.

When I am finished I can put my clothes back on.
